Belvoir Castle Winter Wonderland Wedding

23rd January 2015

Sophie & Sam came to us to create a bespoke design for their wedding stationery. The theme was for a beautiful winter wonderland wedding at the stunning Belvoir Castle. They knew exactly what they wanted so after a few initial sketches we quickly had the design for the Save the Date card. The scene was their summer proposal with Belvoir Castle in the back ground set under a tree in leaf, with their little cat under a sign post with the all important date of the wedding. Save the Date bunting hung in the tree with little hearts, with their initials carved…

Ski Lodge Winter Wonderland Placecards

11th December 2014

So you’ve decided on tying the knot in winter and you’re thinking about themes. We adore an all-white winter wedding, or perhaps a Scandinavian red and white theme, or even ‘let it snow’ with snowflakes! We’ve recently been inspired and have been dreaming about a ‘Ski Lodge Winter Wonderland’ theme. It would have to start with finding your perfect country barn venue, with long wooden tables, cosy blankets on the chairs for your guests, candles – lots of them in Kilner jars, snow globe table numbers, white twigs and branches, snowflake decorations, pine cones & maybe even a reindeer! Vintage Ski…

Colour of the Year 2014 from Pantone

15th January 2014

Radiant Orchid Colour trends come and go, sometimes you just have to take them with a little pinch of salt, especially where weddings are concerned! In the last couple of years we’ve had emerald green and tangerine (not the easiest of colours for a romantic wedding.. & trying to get your bridesmaid into a tangerine dress may have  proved slightly difficult!) but this years Radiant Orchid & Dazzling Blue are the colours that experts at Pantone are predicting. Radiant Orchid is a vibrant, rich, pretty purple shade that works perfectly for weddings, from bridesmaid dresses to flowers and accessories, and, of…

Winter White Wonderland

20th March 2013

Last weekend I took the studio pup for a lovely long walk around Staunton Harold. Armed with my camera I headed for Dimminsdale Wood as I was hoping to see the snowdrops out in all their beauty & we weren’t disappointed,  there was a wonderful white carpet of snowdrops all with their heads popping up under the wood land branches with the sunlight shimmering through. It was like a little magical glade & reminded me of an old favourite childhood book, the Flower Fairys! This got me thinking,  how beautiful would a snowdrop wedding be? After a quick search I found the stunning Hodsock Priory…

Art in leaves

11th July 2012

We came across an amazing artist called Lorenzo Duran. He has developed our favourite art of paper cutting into a  whole new dimension. He’s created beautiful masterpieces out of leaves!  Lorenzo would find a perfect leaf then wash, dry & press it gently. He would then carefully cut away to leave a unique & delicate piece of art. It must take incredible patience as leaves can be so fragile and brittle when dry!  Just as he finished a piece that could have taken days to create it may just break! Lorenzo has now moved on to develop new ‘Naturayarte’ projects & is…
