‘I Do’
We’ve had an amazing wedding season this year with so many commissions for creating gorgeous bespoke designs. We’ve had a great time coming up with new ideas and highlighting some of our favourites here on the blog.
Here’s another stunning invitation – this time designed by the bride!
Josie & Matt got married at Stubton Hall in June this year & asked us to create their bespoke wedding stationery.
The theme of the wedding was ‘summer berry’ (based on their gorgeous bridesmaid dresses). Our Azalea inlay paper was a perfect colour match.
Josie (who is a graphic designer) designed the stationery collection. She told us that she wanted the design to be quite simple & classical (to reflect her choice of venue) whilst also having a fun, quirky element. The design of the main invitation was based around the most distinct words of the wedding day: ‘I do’. The font chosen is called Narsizz Swirls which worked perfectly for a wedding invitation. The lettering on the invitation cover was laser-cut to reveal the vibrant Azalea inlay paper, giving the guests a hint of the wedding theme.
Josie told us, “I was so excited to receive the finished stationery, beautifully packaged in ribbon & tissue paper. It was very difficult to eventually part with all the invitations & hand them over to the postman but I received an excellent response from all my guests – they were particularly impressed with the laser-cut effect.”
The day invites were sent out in beautifully packaged wallets, containing the RSVP & information sheet. The evening invites, information sheets & RSVP cards were all printed to colour-match the Azalea pink.
Josie also ordered beautiful printed thank you cards. The same colour & font was used to carry the theme through, as well as the gorgeous azalea ribbon. We love that Josie & Matt have included photographs of their special day printed on the back of the thank yous – perfect to give people a keepsake from the day!
