Sometimes when you look at where you came from, and where you are now you realise that you’ve met some wonderful people along the way. We’ve been working with the amazing Lydia & Abbi since the early days of Save the Date magazine, way back in 2009, when Hummingbird was just a little fledgling new business too!

They’d spotted a gap in the market for stylish, inspiring local wedding inspiration and so Save the Date was born, and we loved it. They came to visit us in our first little studio, when we were working from home, and we knew from day one that we wanted to work with them. Since then, they’ve become the trailblazers for wedding inspiration in the East Midlands.

Save the Date Magazine has grown into an amazing resource, the place to go to for wedding inspiration in the East Midlands. Brides to be have been able to read their simply beautiful magazines, finding so many amazing ideas from local suppliers, and somehow they discovered the best companies to work with and brought them all together in one space.

They didn’t stop there, they went big.. really big, and launched the Wedding Event with a Difference,  #WEWAD (as it’s affectionally called) in 2011. We’ve been lucky enough to show our designs at some of their events, and they are stunning. So well organised with an array of incredibly creative wedding suppliers and we met some amazing companies and people who we have become close friends to HB.  Excited brides flock with grooms, mums and bridesmaids, to find the wedding supplier treasures that Abbi and Lydia brought together under one roof.. and of course celebrate with a glass of champagne.

They now have an incredibly comprehensive online platform for brides to find their venue and wedding suppliers easily, a directory of amazing wedding companies full of innovation and ideas. We joined their ‘Cream of the Crop’ supplier directory and just love being there with all their other wedding jewels, a local treasure trove. We find it so easy when couples ask us where to find something, we just send them here.

If you’re looking for ideas, pop over and check out all their suppliers, it really doesn’t matter where you live, or where your venue is, lots of us suppliers are happy to send with couriers or travel to you.
